UBS Global AM Sets Up Farmland Advisory Business In Australia, New Zealand

UBS Global Asset Management has entered into farmland investment advisory in Australia and New Zealand.

UBS Global Asset Management has expanded its Australia and New Zealand business by launching a farmland investment advisory service.

Such type of service offers institutional investors access to either directly-owned and operated farmland, or directly-owned farmland operated by leading Australian farmers, according to a statement. 

UBS GAM's role will be to provide a full-service advisory offering supported by research and governance processes. It will have an investment worth A$1 billion ($936,000) over the course of five years and will be backed by farmland operational advisor Bydand Global Agriculture, which will give farm specific operational management advice to UBS and its clients. 

The new advisory arm will be managed from Sydney and Hong Kong. UBS Global AM has been investing in farmland via its Global Real Estate business for over 25 years.
