Mason Matschke, a private client broker in UBS’s Chicago office has left to join Jefferies & Co, a US brokerage firm.
Mr Matschke had spent nine years at UBS Wealth Management. At Jefferies he will report to Charles Baber, head of the firm’s private client group.
"His relationship and experience will make an immediate contribution to the firm and significantly enhance our presence as we continue to build out our group in Chicago and other key locations nationally," Mr Baber said in a statement.
Jefferies has retail brokerage offices in New York, Chicago and San Francisco.
