Top-Level Changes At UOB's Digital Business

The firm has a new head of the TMRW Digital Group, the lender's digital bank that covers the 10 states under the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.

United Overseas Bank has replaced outgoing digital group head Dennis Khoo with Kevin Lam. The bank confirmed to WealthBriefingAsia that Khoo is leaving to pursue other opportunities.

Lam is the head of TMRW Digital Group, which is UOB’s mobile-only digital bank for the ASEAN region. Lam is country chief executive of UOB Indonesia and joined the group in 2005.

Since joining UOB, Lam has had senior roles in functions and markets such as personal financial services, wholesale banking, and technology and operations. He spent six years at UOB Malaysia, where he was deputy country CEO. In 2016, he was appointed country CEO of UOB Indonesia. Before joining UOB, he worked in various international banks and technology companies based in Singapore, Hong Kong and the US.
