To Reach Financial Goals, Couples Must Start Talking - Tokio Marine Life Insurance Singapore
The Singaporean arm of a major insurance group has launched a campaign designed to get couples communicating more effectively about money so they can achieve their objectives.
Tokio Marine Life Insurance Singapore is trying to make couples talk to each other more about money so they do not run the risk of being unable to achieve their goals, rolling out a video campaign to spark people into taking action.
The firm’s #iKnowYouBest campaign has been rolled out with the release of a campaign video. The video features four local couples of various backgrounds imagining their future together, and highlights the sometimes differing expectations and dreams they have for their post-retirement lives. The campaign runs until October.
“Thinking about and planning for retirement can be daunting, particularly given the wide variety of considerations individuals must take into account. However, entering this new life stage together can be one of the most exciting and rewarding experiences for couples,” James Tan, chief executive at TMLS, said in a statement yesterday.
“While financial planning is an integral part of this process, starting the conversation about post-retirement expectations is the first step. With this campaign, we hope to inspire couples in Singapore to talk about their aspirations and how they can work together towards achieving their ideal futures,” he said.
The firm is part of Tokio Marine Holdings, which has total assets of around $174 billion and is present in 37 countries.
