Thai Asset Management Firm Adopts Charles River Solution

This publication brings latest news about financial technology developments around the Asian wealth management sector.
Bangkok Capital Asset Management, the Thailand-based firm, has chosen the Charles River Investment Management Solution as the consolidated front- and middle-office platform to support its asset management business.
The offering gives the firm a single solution to automate its investment process, from portfolio management through trading, compliance, and settlement, Charles River said in a statement.
BCAP is working with Charles River to deploy portfolio management and integrated performance measurement and attribution; implement a common trading platform across asset classes; monitor compliance and risk throughout the investment process, access real-time pricing and benchmarks and automate the trade settlement process.
“The Charles River Investment Management Solution gives us the
capabilities and scale to grow our business,” Thanavut
Pornrojnangkool, chief information officer, BCAP, said.
Charles River has served buy-side firms in Thailand for more than
ten years. BCAP is one of 12 local asset managers using its
services.
Bangkok Capital Asset Management Co was set up in 2014 by Bualuang Securities, which runs both the private-fund and securities businesses for Bangkok Bank. BCAP has licenses to manage mutual funds, provident funds, and private funds and plan to have new products covering these areas in the next three years.
