Taiwan Investment Firm Names Ex-UBS Director To Lead Its Asia Business

Taiwan-based Fortune Venture Investment Group names ex-UBS director Lee Yuan Wai as managing director for investments in Asia.

Fortune Venture Investment Group, the Taiwan-based global private equity firm, has named a former UBS executive to lead its Asia business.

Lee Yuen Wai joins the company as managing director of investments for Asia, based in Singapore. Lee served as an advisor to the Asian technology fund of FVIG between 2005 and 2008. Before he assumed his new role in 5 February 2014, he was director of UBS in Singapore, overseeing investments of high net worth individuals in the private wealth management division. 

In his new capacity, Lee will lead the firm's fund raising, deal origination and investments for Asia, with a focus on opportunities in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines.

FVIG has around $500 million in total accumulated assets under management.
