Syz Asset Managment Appoints New Business Development Head

The asset management arm of the Swiss banking group SYZ & Co has appointed Marc Clapasson as head of business development, senior vice president, in its institutional management division.

Before joining the SYZ group Clapasson was in charge of product and client development in Geneva with Millennium Global, a London-based alternative investment firm. Prior to this role, he managed the business development and strategy unit of Prime Capital in Frankfurt, where he was also a member of the investment committee. He has also worked with UBS in Zurich and London in alternatives.

The Geneva-headquartered banking group recently named Xavier Guillon as the new chief executive of its Oyster investment funds arm, replacing Alan Mudie, who was named the new CEO of the fund research department. The firm also rolled out its OYSTER ForExtra Yield EUR, a new sub-fund of its OYSTER Funds SICAV made available in a UCITS III structure.

The group also has offices in Zurich, Lugano and Locarno in Switzerland, along with Milan, Rome, Madrid, London, Luxembourg, Vienna, Nassau and Hong Kong.
