Swiss Bank Boosts NRI Team With Senior Hire In Singapore

Bank J Safra Sarasin has hired a senior NRI banker who had previously worked at Bank of Singapore.

Bank J Safra Sarasin has hired Harpreet Singh into its non-resident Indian team in Singapore, WealthBriefingAsia can confirm.

Singh, who was previously a team head at Bank of Singapore for six years, joins as an executive director, reporting to Hena Hoda, managing director and team head for Southeast Asia. Singh previously worked with Hoda at Bank of Singapore.

In April this year, the bank appointed Benedikt Maissen as chief executive of its Singapore branch.

In May, meanwhile, Scott Duncan, a senior banker, left Bank J Safra Sarasin. Three years previuosly, ago, Duncan was promoted to vice chair of client advisory. He was previously a managing director at the bank.

At the start of March, Bank J Safra Sarasin announced it had appointed former senior ABN AMRO private banker Feroze Sukh as managing director, client advisory. Sukh manages a team of six, three of whom have already joined the bank, covering the non-resident Indian and international markets. He reports to Yelandur Nagendra, deputy chief executive, Asia, and is based at the firm’s Hong Kong branch.
