The firm has brought in a former senior figure at Swiss Life Singapore to push business development in its HNW private client business.

Sun Life has hired Jeroen Simons as a director for high net worth client business development, having joined from Swiss Life Singapore, where he held a business development role.

In total, Simons has more than 30 years’ industry experience.

Under his new role, Simons will be responsible for bringing to market a range of new local products being developed by Sun Life HK especially for HNW individuals. 

These insurance solutions will form an integral part of the wealth planning tools at the disposal of the HNW brokers, private banks, external asset managers and other industry professionals, Sun Life said in a statement. 

“It is a great result to bring Jeroen to Sun Life HK. He will help us support the local HNW unit and strategy,” David Varley, chief HNW officer at Sun Life Hong Kong, said.
