Stockholm-headquartered East Capital reaffirms its commitment to growing in Asia with the addition of a sales specialist in Hong Kong.

East Capital, the Stockholm-based investment firm that specialises in emerging markets, has expanded its Hong Kong sales team with a new appointment.

Sebastien Gandon joins the Hong Kong team as a senior account manager from the company's European operation, where he managed, out of the Paris office, relationships with private banks, multimanagers, institutions and family offices in a number of countries. 

He brings over 10 years of experience to his new role. Before East Capital, he spent five years with Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management in Paris and prior to that worked in audit for financial institutions with Deloitte in Luxembourg.

The appointment signals the firm's commitment to growing in Asia, it said in a statement.

East Capital was founded in 1997 and to-date manages some €3.5 billion in public equity, private equity and real estate. Its one Asian office is in Hong Kong. The rest are located in Stockholm, Kyiv, Luxembourg, Moscow, Oslo, Paris and Tallinn.
