Stephen Richard Evans has joined Standard Chartered Bank as head of Private Banking, Greater China based in Hong Kong. He started on 1 Jan 2007.
He previously headed up HSBC Private Bank in the Middle East. Prior to that, he was with Lloyds TSB in Hong Kong, Singapore and Dubai.
The appointment is one of several that Standard Chartered has been putting in place at its newly re-formed private banking operation.
Shiv Kumar Khazanchi joined Standard Chartered Bank last November from American Express Private Bank as head of Private Banking, India and global head of Private Bank non-resident Indian. He was with ANZ Grindlays for 12 years previously with roles across investment, corporate and retail banking.
Osama Al-Ghoussein joined Standard Chartered Bank as head of Private Banking, Middle East last October. His private banking experience includes roles in Bahrain and Qatar at Salomon Smith Barney/Citigroup and Credit Suisse.
In South East Asia, Agnes Choi joined Standard Chartered Bank a year ago and has been developing the International Banking business in Singapore as a launch pad for the private bank. She joined from Barclays Private Bank where she headed their presence in South East Asia.
