Standard Chartered Names Regional Head For UHNW Clients In ASEAN Region

This publication brings the latest news of senior moves in the Asian region's wealth management industry.

Standard Chartered has appointed Enoch Tan as managing director and regional head, UHNW clients, Association of Southeast Asian Nations.

Based in Singapore, Tan is responsible for leading the bank’s initiatives specific to UHNW clients in the ASEAN region, and will work closely with the front line teams to identify, engineer and deliver differentiated products to meet clients’ specialised needs.

He reports to Stephen Richards-Evans, head, global UHNW clients, and locally to Peter Kok, regional head, ASEAN, private banking clients.

Tan was most recently managing director, head of client solutions, Asia, at Royal Bank of Canada. Prior to that he was an investment banker at NM Rothschild & Sons as well as UBS Investment Bank.

“Particularly in the ASEAN region where entrepreneurs are significant wealth creators, Enoch’s strong track record in advising and conceiving sophisticated solutions will facilitate relationship managers in delivering tailored offerings to our ultra wealthy clients, and further solidify our positioning as the private bank for entrepreneurs,” Richards-Evans said.

The UHNW proposition at the UK-listed bank was formally introduced from 1 December 2014. Tan joins Alison May Chan, who looks after Greater China, and Rahul Raswant, who looks after global South Asian, Indian and African clients.
