Squire Patton Boggs Expands Family Office and Tax Practice in Hong Kong

US-based Squire Patton Boggs has welcomed private wealth expert Patricia Woo to its Hong Kong practice.

Global law firm Squire Patton Boggs has appointed Patricia Woo as senior tax fund and trust lawyer in Hong Kong.

Woo joins from Hong Kong-based law firm King & Wood Mallesons. She brings experience in helping ultra-high net worth families establish and run family offices. Her areas of expertise also include the creation and restructuring of funds and trusts, as well as succession and tax planning matters.

She has structured both single and multi-family offices, and established philanthropic ventures for wealthy families. She also advises private banks and trust companies on new products and services targeting ultra-high net worth families.

“Patricia is a talented lawyer, well-known and respected for her work in the private wealth sector, particularly in the family office space,” said the managing partner of Squire Patton Boggs in Hong Kong, James Tsang, who leads the international private wealth tax practice in the region.

“We are seeing increasing demand from ultra-high net worth families with family office and international tax issues and Patricia’s experience will further strengthen our capabilities in this field.”
