Smith & Williamson Subscribes To Dion’s Portfolio Software Update

Smith & Williamson Investment Management has become the ninth firm to upgrade its portfolio management system to India-listed Dion Global Solutions’ latest Invantage system.

The 12-month project has boosted Smith & Williamson’s performance due to updated hardware and changes to its internal administration system, Dion Global Solutions said in a statement.

Improvements to Dion's Invantage solution consists of: enhanced order vetting, routing to the fidessa workstation, read-only layouts, and client level stock search and auto grouping.

With over £11.5 billion (about $18.2 billion) of funds under management and advice as of 31 October 2011, the Invantage solution is a “key part” of Smith & Williamson’s business, the firm said.

Dion’s solutions comprise portfolio management, trading, settlement, risk management, analytics, wealth management, treasury, messaging and workflow and research and information services.

The firm currently has more than 650 clients across 88 countries.
