Singapore Hosts Luxury Yachting Event In April

The 2014 Singapore Yacht Show is expected to attract more visitors than ever.
Singapore will once again be the venue for luxury entertaining and elite parties with the 2014 Singapore Yacht Show set for April 10 to 13, an event that highlights the strong wealth of the jurisdiction and surrounding region.
In this four-day affair, the world's leading yacht and boat builders, as well as major luxury brands and clientele will converge in what is popularly referred to as the equivalent of the Monaco Yacht Show in Europe and the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show in the US. In 2013, around 11,000 visitors from all over the world came. The numbers are expected to be even higher this year.
The show's growth reflects Singapore's position as a first-class regional hub, said Singapore Yacht Events, the organizer, in a statement.
According to the latest report from Knight Frank, Singapore is poised to overtake Tokyo as the Asian city with the most number of high net worth individuals in a decade. By 2023, the study said the city-state will have over 4,800 HNW individuals with $30 million or more in assets.
"This year’s surge in interest is testament to the global yachting industry’s recognition of Asia as a key emerging market - and affirmation of the Singapore show’s appeal to high-wealth, discerning visitors from across the region and world," said Andy Treadwell, managing director.
The 2014 Singapore Yacht Show will again happen at ONE°15 Marina Club in Sentosa Cove.
