Singapore Applies To Hand Back 1MDB-Linked Funds

The latest twist in the saga of the Malaysian fund.
Singapore police have applied to hand back around S$50.3 million ($36.9 million) of seized money linked to the scandal-hit 1MDB fund in Malaysia. Courts have approved the transfers, according to the Straits Times.
The applications have been filed by the Commercial Affairs Department, the newspaper said.
"Part of the monies have already been transferred to Malaysia, while the rest are still being processed by the banks," the authorities were quoted as saying.
