SimCorp Launches IBOR Portal For Asset Owners

Copenhagen-headquartered SimCorp has created a one-stop shop for knowledge about the Investment Book of Record.

The global provider of investment management solutions SimCorp has launched a portal for knowledge on the Investment Book of Record (IBOR).

Maintaining an IBOR, comprising of an informed view of risks and potential outcomes, has become a valued feature of an investment management business.

“The IBOR helps investment management organizations to better focus on their core business, and without an IBOR solution, the front-office will either work off partial or out-of-date data or maintain IBOR figures manually. That is not only time consuming, but also inefficient and expensive,” said SimCorp's chief executive, Klaus Holse.

The new portal seeks to educate asset owners on the requirements and benefits of an IBOR-centric investment system, through case studies and industry expert opinions.

“From an organizational perspective, an IBOR is the golden copy that provides the data foundation and operational capabilities necessary to expand into new asset classes and investment strategies, and to comply with the onslaught of regulatory reforms,” SimCorp said.
