Schroder Investment Management Brings On Third Wave Trio

Schroder Investment Management has made five additions to its fixed income global multi-sector team, including the three founders of Third Wave Asset Management.

Schroder Investment Management North America has hired Third Wave Asset Management founders David Gottlieb, Vincent Messina and Whitney Tindale within its fixed income global multi-sector team.

The trio will form part of the investment manager's global macro group, which is led by Bob Jolly. Based in New York, they will manage a strategy focused on relative value opportunities, primarily in US rates markets.

Also joining Schroders’ fixed income global multi-sector team are Paul Grainger as a senior portfolio manager and Mads Nielsen as a quantitative strategist. Both will be based in the group's London headquarters, reporting to Jolly.

“Expanding the depth of talent within Schroders’ global macro team is about diversifying our sources of alpha. Hiring people with different skills and approaches is a way of increasing the consistency of returns for our clients...,” said Jolly.

The now 14-strong team is responsible for managing UK, European and global aggregate strategies, as well as global sovereign, absolute return and unconstrained strategies. As of the end of March, it managed $114.5 billion in assets.
