Saxo Bank Launches New Trading Platform

The bank replaces one of its main platforms with a new offering.

Copenhagen-headquartered Saxo Bank has launched a trading platform for individual and institutional clients, replacing an earlier channel.

SaxoTraderPRO is set to supersede the older SaxoTrader platform, the firm said. It is a customisable workspace for both Windows and Mac users. SaxoTraderPRO will be launched across a number of markets, starting with the UK, Denmark and then Asia-Pacific with remaining countries to follow later in April and during May.

“We were a Fintech before the term was created and the core of Saxo Bank has always been our trading technology and trading platforms,” Kim Fournais, founder and chief executive, said.

In March Saxo and Italy’s Banca Generali signed a deal to provide online trading and digital services to Italian clients. The partnership runs for eight years and may be renewed upon expiry.
