Savills IM Names New CEO

The appointment will see the new CEO based in Singapore.

Savills Investment Management, the global real estate investment manager with more than £16 billion ($20.72 billion) of assets under management, has appointed Alex Jeffrey as its new chief executive, joining in late 2019 once regulators have approved the move. He will be based in Singapore.

Kiran Patel, who had been acting CEO from the middle of last year, will continue as chief investment officer and become deputy CEO following Jeffrey’s arrival.

Nick Cooper will continue in his role as chairman, Savills said in a statement yesterday.

Like some other international asset management houses, the firm is planning to expand its presence in China and raise its overall Asia profile. (See a story here.) (See here for other senior changes.)
