Santander Launches New Multi Manager Fund Range

Santander Asset Management UK has launched a new range of multi manager funds for the UK intermediary market.

Santander Asset Management UK has launched a new range of
multi manager funds for the UK
intermediary market.

The Santander Atlas Portfolios will be managed by the firm’s
global multi manager fund management team, led by Tom Caddick and Toby Vaughan.
The funds include five multi asset, multi manager portfolios, which will have
differentiated risk targets to suit varying investor attitudes to risk in the
medium to long term.

The funds will invest across core global asset classes,
including equities, bonds, properties and alternatives, with a focus on
managing the portfolios within clearly defined volatility targets to provide
investors with potentially smoother returns. In addition, the portfolios will have
a low annual management charge of 0.40 per cent, plus a capped ongoing charge
of 0.99 per cent.

Furthermore, Moody’s Analytics will help provide advisors
and clients with analysis on the range, which has been benchmarked against
funds across the UK
by the independent, financial research company, Defaqto.

The firm also said that the portfolios are exclusively
available via financial advisor platforms - they are not available through Santander’s retail branch
network.

Santander Asset Management UK had over £24 billion ($38.4
billion) in assets under management at the close of June 2013, and is the
subsidiary of Santander Asset Management, which with its 11 country offices, currently
manages over €156 billion (about $209 billion).
