Safra Sarasin Singapore's Head Leaves

As 2018 gets under way, a senior banking figure in Asia steps down from his role.

This publication understands that Safra Sarasin Singapore's head, Benedikt Maissen, has left the firm, having been in the post since 2016.

He was in the post for 21 months, media reports said, noting that the exit will be a blow to the private banking firm.

WealthBriefingAsia is seeking clarification and further details about Maissen's departure and a possible replacement.

Prior to joining Bank J Safra Sarasin, Maissen had worked at Societe Generale in Switzerland.

In November, this publication reported that Bank J Safra Sarasin had appointed Bellen Chang as a managing director for client advisory in its ultra-high net worth team, focusing on the Philippines.
