SANNE Names New Singapore Chief

The new Singapore head was previously a senior figure at PwC.

SANNE, the global provider of alternative asset and corporate business services, has named a new country head for Singapore – ex-PricewaterhouseCoopers figure David Fowler.

He takes over from Valérie Mantot, who will become head of business development, Asia-Pacific and Mauritius - a remit which takes in India and Dubai, among other locations, SANNE, a UK FTSE 250-listed firm, said.

Fowler has worked in Singapore for more than six years in the private equity and venture capital ecosystem. At PwC Singapore, he was director at its “venture hub”, SANNE said in a statement yesterday.

“We have ambitious plans for our APAC business and there is much to deliver in 2019 and beyond. His [Fowler’s] background in private equity and venture capital will be a great asset in helping SANNE deliver its future development and regional growth plans," Jing Jing Qian, managing director of SANNE’s Asia-Pacific business, said.

Globally, SANNE has more than 1,400 staff; it administers structures and funds that have more than £240 billion of assets and operates in 18 jurisdictions.

In January this year SANNE opened a new office in Amsterdam, coinciding with a parallel announcement that it had also started operating in Tokyo. In July 2018, this publication reported that the firm had appointed James Ireland as its new chief financial officer, and in May 2018 it appointed Tracy Burns as director of global operations.
