Ruffer, the London-based investment manager, is adding David McClean to their research team with immediate effect.

Mr McClean was most recently at UBS as managing director, global head of credit repo; prior to this he was managing director, head of repo and STIR trading at Nomura International.

Founded in 1994, Ruffer provides a discretionary portfolio management service for private clients, charities and pension funds.  Total assets managed by the firm now exceed £3.5 billion (about $5 billion).  The company currently has a total staff of 81.
