Rockefeller Continues Hiring Drive; Names Industry Luminary

A senior wealth industry figure with four decades of career experience joins Rockefeller Capital Management, part of a recent burst of hires.
Rockefeller Capital Management has appointed Brian C McK. Henderson as a senior advisor, a founding partner of Henderson International Advisors and a veteran of Merrill Lynch. He is the latest joiner to the RCM group since it was launched in March.
Henderson, who has worked in the sector for more than 40 years, will help advise Rockefeller in its expansion and evolution.
“Brian has a great track record of success managing senior, international client relationships, in public and private sectors alike,” Gregory J Fleming, president and chief executive, said.
As well as being the founding partner of Henderson International Advisors, LLC, which he started in April 2014, he held a number of roles at Merrill Lynch over a 23-year career span there, including director of communications, Merrill Lynch Capital Markets; senior vice president, Merrill Lynch International; and executive assistant to the chairman and president. He was also on the boards of Prime Merrill SpA (Italy) and Merrill Lynch South Africa.
Before joining Merrill, Henderson spent 14 years with Chase Manhattan Bank, with responsibilities that covered multiple divisions and continents.
Henderson is the non-executive chairman of Augustea Bunge Maritime Ltd., and an independent director for BMCE Bank of Africa. He is on the advisory board of the Spanish law firm Cremades & Calvo Sotelo. Henderson was previously on the Ethics and Policy Committee of the DDC for the First Judicial Department, Supreme Court Appellate Division, State of New York. He is a graduate of Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.
Since Rockefeller Capital Management was launched, it has hired seven new senior executives and two senior advisors inclusive of Henderson. Fleming, a former Morgan Stanley wealth management chief, recently led the deal that saw Rockefeller & Co, as it was known, transform into its new incarnation; the business is now owned by its management, Viking Global Investors and a trust representing the Rockefeller family dynasty.
