Refinitiv Builds Out Asian Business Presence

The firm's Elektron real-time data is now available on the Amazon Web Services channel in Asia.

Refinitiv, the financial market data and infrastructure business, has launched its data delivery to Asia-based clients using Amazon Web Services.

The firm's Elektron real-time data is now available in the AWS Asia-Pacific (Singapore) region. The Elektron real-time cloud delivery is designed to simplify access to real-time price information across the financial community.

As reported here recently, the London Stock Exchange Group recently acquired Refinitiv in one of the largest such deals in the space affecting the technology used by wealth managers and other financial market players.

According to a recent Refinitiv survey, Asia-based firms want to rapidly boost investment in public cloud computing. The survey of senior technologists and market data managers showed that 86 per cent said that they would use public cloud for most of their data needs within four years.
