The Florida-headquartered firm has helped a new wealth management practice set up shop in Alabama.
Raymond James recently snapped up a $700 million team from Wells Fargo Advisors, which subsequently opened a wealth advisory practice in Huntsville, Alabama.
John Watts, Steuart Evans Jr, Russell Henshaw and Bradford Flowers have opened a new Advisor Select office, managed by Alabama complex manager Michael Turnbough. Also joining them are client service associates Celesta Freeman, Stephanie Akin and Deborah Mosley. Together, they operate as Evans, Watts, Henshaw and Flowers Wealth Management Group of Raymond James.
The team joined from Wells Fargo Advisors' Profit Formula platform, where they managed more than $700 million in client assets and had approximately $3.8 million in annual revenue.
Watts kick-started his financial services career in 1988 with Morgan Keegan. He also spent stints at Robinson-Humphrey and Prudential Securities before he joined Wells Fargo's Huntsville branch in 2001.
Evans began his career with Robinson-Humphrey in 1991, where he worked alongside his father. In 2002, he moved Salomon Smith and in 2003 joined Wells Fargo, where he teamed up with Watts.
Flowers' financial services career started in 1990 with Merrill Lynch. In 2001, he joined Prudential Securities and two years later moved to Wells Fargo.
