The family office business has made a number of senior appointments this year.
Raffles Family Office, the multi-family office, has appointed senior LVMH figure Chris Chong as a board advisor.
Chong is the LVMH Group’s executive vice president for South and South East Asia, including Oceania. Before this, he was CEO for retail and workspace at CapitaLand Investment, a global property investment manager. Additionally, his career includes senior roles at the Singapore Economic Development Board, Starhill Global REIT, and Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH) in Paris, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
“Family office is the next new frontier of UHNW individual servicing in the region, and I’m happy to be able to advise a dynamic and fast-growing team like RFO,” Chong said.
Chong has a master in information networking from Carnegie Mellon University, an electrical engineering degree from a French Grande École, and a master in financial management from ESSEC. He has been a Certified Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) since 2010.
In July, RFO appointed former RBC Wealth Management CEO for Asia, Terence Chow, as chief operating officer. This role marked the re-appointment of a dedicated COO position since Yvonne Siu’s departure in 2021. In late May, the organisation promoted its co-founder and managing partner, Kendrick Lee, to chief executive for Singapore.
