RBC WM Tight-Lipped On Reported Asia CEO Departure
The CEO of the firm's Asian wealth business has held a number of posts, and has been in his latest role since November 2019.
RBC Wealth Management was tight-lipped this week over a media report saying that Terence Chow has left the firm in his role as Hong Kong-based CEO of Asia. (Editor's note: Subsequent to this article, RBC on 28 August issued a statement saying that an interim CEO, Rod Ireland, had been named to fill the vacancy left by Chow, confirming the latter's departure.)
The news service finews.asia, citing an unnamed source, said Chow has left the Canadian firm and that a website of Chow’s business profile no longer exists.
When WealthBriefingAsia checked Chow’s Linkedin profile, it showed him as still being in the role, however.
RBC declined to comment to this publication on the matter.
Chow has been at RBC Wealth Management for seven years and 10 months, and in his latest role since November 2019. He has also worked at RBC Capital markets in various capacities.
