Quilter and Skandia are to partner to provide a managed portfolio service for McEwan Wallace Wealth Management, a firm based in Merseyside in the northwest of England.

The managed portfolio service will offer six investment strategies matching different client risk profiles provided by McEwan Wallace Wealth Management.

Quilter’s role will be to construct the portfolios to match the six risk profiles and will blend funds within the portfolios to maximise alpha. The portfolios will be monitored and rebalanced over time and regular factsheets will be provided to keep clients informed of portfolio performance, the firm said in a statement.  

Meanwhile Skandia Investment Solutions will provide the investment, administration and trading platform for the new service, aiming to provide cost-effective online processing for McEwan Wallace Wealth Management.

"Over the last two years we’ve seen massive interest from IFAs who want to offer their clients investment management expertise,” said Glenn Hawksbee, head of sales at Quilter.

Quilter and Skandia teamed up for a similar partnership for Jelf Financial Planning in 2009.
