Placemark Investments Adds "ETF Center" To UMA Platform
Dallas-based Placemark Investments has launched an exchange-traded fund center that provides access to an array of ETFs and is now open to advisors via its Unified Managed Accounts Marketplace platform.
The ETF Investment Strategist center, which Placemark said was established in light of the “rapidly growing” ETF market, grants advisors access to a range of third-party ETFs. Strategies include strategic and tactical asset allocation, US and international equity, fixed income, country, sector, style, and alternative investments, the firm said.
Information is provided on nearly 100 different investment strategists featuring in the iShares Connect Guide to Investment Strategies. As new portfolio managers are added to the iShares’ guide, which Placemark says is the “first and largest compendium of experienced third-party ETF managers," the firm will subsequently invite them to participate in the center, it said.
Access to the center is available through the UMA Marketplace platform, and is open to advisors who are affiliated with various broker-dealers including Schwab Institutional, TD Ameritrade Institutional, Fidelity Institutional Wealth Services and Pershing Advisor Solutions, among others.
Placemark manages approximately $7 billion in UMA assets through proprietary UMA programs for various broker-dealers including RBC Wealth Management, Oppenheimer Asset Management and TD Ameritrade Institutional.
