PineBridge Investments Names New Asia-Pacific CEO

The appointee has a financial services career spanning three decades, much of it in Asia.
PineBridge Investments, the asset management firm, has appointed Anthony Fasso as its new Asia-Pacific chief executive. He takes over from Rajeev Mittal, who left the company in December last year.
Fasso, who will be based in Hong Kong, will report to PineBridge CEO, Greg Ehret.
WealthBriefingAsia has asked the firm if the role is a newly-created one and will update in due course.
With more than 30 years in the financial services sector, Fasso has worked for almost a quarter of a century in Asia’s asset management business. Most recently, he spent eight years as CEO of AMP Capital Investors’ international business and was head of the firm’s global clients division, based in Hong Kong.
Among other roles, Fasso spent five years as CEO of AXA Rosenberg Asia-Pacific and AXA Investment Managers Asia Pacific, where he was responsible for $40 billion in assets under management, and established asset management joint ventures in China, Korea and India. He also held senior management positions at Julius Baer and Bankers Trust Funds Management.
