Pan-Asian Investment Consulting Firm Strengthens With A New Alliance

Dezan Shira & Associates bolsters its pan-Asia presence with a new alliance.

Dezan Shira & Associates, the investment consulting firm with a pan-Asian presence, has expanded its reach with the creation of a new entity dedicated to serving some of the region's largest countries.

The Dezan Shira Asian Alliance brings together each of the firm's offices throughout Mainland China, Hong Kong, India, Singapore and Vietnam with four other companies in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand. The group combines 26 offices in Asia, eight regional managing partners and around 800 professional staff. It provides business advisory, due diligence, tax, accounting, payroll and audit services to regional and international investors in the region.

"As middle class consumer capabilities continue to increase, [our Alliance] will need to service clients with cross-border requirements. Indonesia for example will become a trillion dollar economy next year, while other Asian countries will see their total GDP wealth rise by between 50-60 percent by 2020. Significant future growth and foreign direct investment will be across ASEAN, China and India," said Chris Devonshire-Ellis, founding partner of the parent firm and chairman of the new Alliance, in a statement.

Dezan Shira & Associates was established in 1992. Beyond Asia, it maintains liaison offices in the US, Italy and Germany.
