The investment management firm has hired Aberdeen’s head of Nordic business development.

PIMCO has hired Kristina Najjar-Wahlgren as a senior vice president to lead business development for the Nordic region.

Najjar-Wahlgren joins the London-based team after almost a decade as head of Nordic business development at Aberdeen Asset Management, which she joined in 2004.

“Kristina is a valuable addition to our team with her broad skillset in business development in combination with a strong network of relationships and deep local market insight,” said Will Pompa, senior vice president and head of the Nordic region at PIMCO. 

PIMCO said it had hired more than 200 employees this year, including over 40 investment professionals. Last month, Alice Cavalier joined the firm's alternatives team as senior vice president, focusing on the analysis of stressed and distressed investments in Europe.
