Northern Trust Names Luxembourg Head

Chicago's Northern Trust has named a new country head for Luxembourg as the bank continues to unveil a number of senior appointments.

Chicago’s Northern Trust has appointed Steve David as Luxembourg country
head, replacing Ian Baillie, who is due to retire in August.

David’s responsibilities include leading and managing the expansion of
the firm’s fund servicing and custody operations, while reporting to Toby Glaysher,
head of global fund services activities in Europe, the Middle
East and Africa.

Northern Trust said in a statement that David has operated from the Luxembourg office - most recently as managing director - since joining the organisation in 2004.

The Luxembourg office, which launched in 2004, provides fund
administration and custody services for tax-transparent, cross-border pooled
funds, and traditional and alternative assets to a range of institutional
clients globally, including multinational pension funds, global and boutique
asset managers.

In April, the firm unveiled a raft of top-level management
changes, with a mix of internal and external appointments, the details of which
can be viewed here.

Earlier this week, the firm named Daniel Lindley
to the newly-created London-based role of managing director, global
family and private investment offices group for the EMEA and APAC
regions. He takes on the post on 1 July.
