Fund-of-funds manager Northern Trust Alternatives Group has made two senior hires.
Tristan Thomas joins as director of portfolio strategy for hedge funds and Greg Jones has been hired as an analyst.
As director of portfolio strategy, Thomas is responsible for portfolio construction and the monitoring of funds-of-funds and custom programs. He is a member of the team’s senior investment committee and joins from Mesirow Financial in Chicago, IL.
Jones meanwhile will look after the sourcing, due diligence and monitoring of macro, relative value, and commodity strategies across Northern Trust’s hedge fund program and joins from Cliffwater.
Northern Trust’s Alternatives Group has $3.7 billion in assets.
