Nomura's International Wealth Arm Names Southeast Asia Group Head
The newly-appointed figure, who is based in Singapore, has worked at HSBC, UBS, ABN AMRO and Credit Suisse.
Former senior HSBC figure Philip Kunz has joined Nomura International Wealth Management as managing director – senior advisor and group head, Southeast Asia, based in Singapore.
Kunz will report directly to Anurag Mahesh, who is head of coverage for SEA, global South Asai and Middle East at Nomura, this publication understands.
Most recently, Kunz was head of global private banking for South and Southeast Asia at HSBC. Before that, he was at UBS where he held senior wealth management positions, including chief operating officer of wealth management in Singapore, overseeing client management teams.
Earlier in his career, Kunz assumed various client relationship and management roles at Credit Suisse, ABN AMRO Private Bank and Clariden Leu in Singapore, primarily covering the Southeast Asia and South Asia markets. He graduated from KV Zurich Business School of the Swiss Association of Commercial Employees in Switzerland. He also attended executive programmes at INSEAD University in France and at the Harvard Business School in Shanghai.
