New Singapore Role For Swiss Banking Senior Figure

Named as head of client business by VP Bank, the senior figure has held prominent roles including at UBS.
Liechtenstein-headquartered VP Bank has appointed senior private banking figure Reto Marx in Singapore with the newly-built role of head of client business.
Marx, who joins the bank at the end of January, will report directly to Bruno Morel, the bank’s chief executive of its Singapore operation.
In his new role Marx is responsible for the areas of private banking, intermediaries and investment advisory and treasury.
Previously, Marx has held senior roles at Credit Suisse, Bank J Safra Sarasin (formerly Bank Sarasin-Rabo) and UBS Wealth Management, among others. Most recently he was chief executive and founder of Warisan Investment Partners, based in Zug, Switzerland. From May 2010 to December 2017 Marx was MD and Asia-Pacific regional head – global financial intermediaries, at UBS Wealth Management.

He will contribute significantly to the further growth of our location in Singapore as well as to the further development of the activities in the Asian market,” Morel said.
