New Offshore AML Information Service

A new website has been launched by Bermuda's National Anti-Money Laundering Committee to give details of government anti-money laundering initiatives.

The website, at www.namlc.bm, contains information on current anti-money laundering legislation, such as the Anti-Terrorism Financial and Other Measures Act 2004, Proceeds of Crime Money Laundering Regulations 1998, and Proceeds of Crime Act 1997, along with the Caribbean Financial Action Task Force Country Situation Report on Bermuda.

"The Government recognises the benefits to be gained by promoting greater public awareness and understanding of the ill effects of money laundering and financing of terrorism and will continue to do so," Paula Cox, Minister of Finance, said in a parliamentary statement.
