New Asia-Pac Asset Allocation Head Named At UBS In Hong Kong

UBS has named a former Credit Suisse emerging markets head as its new asset allocation head for Asia-Pacific.

UBS, the Swiss banking giant, has announced a new asset allocation head for Asia-Pacific.

Adrian Zuercher has been named head of asset allocation, Asia-Pac, UBS Wealth Management chief investment officer, according to an internal memo seen by WealthBriefing Asia

Zuercher joins from Credit Suisse Asset Management, where he was the head of emerging markets strategy and asset allocation based in Hong Kong and Zurich. Prior to that, he was a fund manager at VP Bank and a portfolio manager at F van Lanschot Bankiers.

In his new role, he will be part of the global asset allocation team based in Asia and responsible for setting up a tactical asset allocation process based on the same principles as done globally, said the memo.

The appointment came after Paul Stefansson assumed the role of Asia-Pacific head of investment fund distribution with effect from 1 July. At the same time, Patrick Grossholz was also named local product head for the investment products and services arm in Hong Kong. Shortly before that, Polly Tsang joined the company as country team head for Hong Kong.
