Natixis CIB Makes Asia Pacific Credit Organisation Appointments

The latest moves and appointments at Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking in Asia Pacific.

Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking has appointed William Xiong as head of loan syndicate for the Asia Pacific region, and Gregoire Bielle as head of private credit sales for the Asia Pacific region.

According to the firm, Xiong joined Natixis CIB's loan syndication team in 2017 and he will continue to be based in Singapore.

He will report to Arnaud Francillon, head of distribution and portfolio management, Asia Pacific; Fabrice Guesde, head of credit markets and global structured credit and solutions, Asia Pacific; and Chris Lovgren, head of global credit syndicate.

Locally, Xiong will report to Sanjeev Kumar, senior country manager in Singapore and head of South-East and South Asia, the firm said.

In his new role, Xiong is responsible for underwriting risk for Asia Pacific deals and loan syndication to Asia Pacific banks.

He has over 14 years’ experience in Asia Pacific banking roles, focused on loan syndication. Prior to joining Natixis CIB, he worked in loan syndication with BNP Paribas in Sydney and Singapore, the firm added.

Meanwhile, Bielle joined Natixis CIB in December 2022 as head of private credit sales for the Asia Pacific region the firm said.

Based in Singapore, he reports to Francillon as well as Eric Elbaz, head of sales and financial engineering, Asia Pacific; and Victoria Goodenough, global head of private credit sales. Locally, Bielle reports to Kumar.

In his new role, Bielle will be responsible for the private credit sales team for the Asia Pacific region, as well as for the distribution of loans and private debt to non-bank financial institutions. He will work in collaboration with global markets sales and credit structuring teams, to develop new structures such as mezzanine debt.

Bielle has gained over 14 years’ experience from financial institutions in both London and Singapore, the firm said. Prior to joining Natixis CIB, he was with Standard Chartered serving in a variety of positions in the private debt and structured credit spheres. Before Standard Chartered, he worked for several global investment banks, originating private debt and derivatives solutions.

The appointments are in line with the bank's ambitions to optimise Natixis CIB’s Asia Pacific Credit business – aiming to enhance the role of Asia Pacific as a distribution hub for Groupe BPCE, the firm said.

Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking is a global financial institution which provides advisory, investment banking, financing, corporate banking and capital markets services to corporations, financial institutions, financial sponsors and sovereign and supranational organisations worldwide.
