Morgan Stanley has launched the first UCITS III fund on its FundLogic platform to be managed by an alternative manager.

Managed by P Schoenfeld Asset Management, the fund will offer exposure to a global event-driven investment strategy which includes mergers and acquisitions, stressed and distressed credit and special situations strategies.

Shahzad Sadique, executive director and head of FundLogic, said: “We are seeing a huge level of interest from investors to access alternative asset manager expertise through UCITS funds. We are currently seeking regulatory approval for a number of funds managed by leading alternative asset managers and look forward to launching more UCITS funds on FundLogic in the next few months.”

FundLogic is the brand name for Morgan Stanley’s structured fund platform, set up in 2006 as a multi-asset platform. It can offer both UCITS III and non-UCITS funds globally.
