More Changes At Asia-Pacific Private Banking Teams Of Credit Suisse

Divya Menon has joined the Zurich-listed bank’s Asia-Pacific team in Hong Kong, starting from the beginning of April, holding the post of vice president and relationship manager covering non-resident Indian clients. Prior to this, she was an RM with DBS Private Bank in Hong Kong, covering NRI clients. She has been a private banker for more than 10 years and is a CFA Charter Holder.
Separately, this publication can confirm that Tan Yee Kim, who was a desk head under David Shick at Credit Suisse, has resigned. As reported this week, Shick has joined Julius Baer to be its new head of private banking for Greater China.

As recently set out in its growth strategy for Asia, Credit Suisse aims to step up the pace of recruitment of RMs. The NRI client segment, is, Credit Suisse has said, a major focus for growth in its Asian private bank; in the last 12 months, Credit Suisse’s NRI Asia-Pacific team of relationship managers has close to tripled.
Last September, the bank appointed Balakrishnan Kunnambath as a managing director and market group head, NRI Asia-Pacific, based in Singapore. He joined Credit Suisse from DBS Private Bank, where he was MD and the NRI head covering Asia-Pacific and the Middle East NRI markets, overseeing over 30 RMs. He also has held senior roles at ABN AMRO and Societe Generale.
