Mercer Buys Norwegian Investment Consulting Firm

Mercer, the international consulting and investment company, has bought Pensjon & Finans, a financial investment and pension consulting firm based in Norway, for an undisclosed sum.

The deal means that Espen Kløw, chief executive of Pensjon & Finans, takes up the role as head of Mercer in Norway. Pensjon & Finans was set up in 1997.

Last month, Mercer, which is wholly-owned by US-listed Marsh & McLennan Companies, hired Toby Buscombe as a principal to provide infrastructure and private equity investment advisory services within its alternatives boutique. The firm’s wealth management arm is called Mercer Investors.
