Maybank Names Group Wealth Head – Media

The newly-appointed figure, who has worked in the banking sector for almost three decades, has been at Maybank since 2014.

Media reports have said that Asian lender Maybank has appointed Alice Tan Siew Hwee as head of group wealth management.

Her role covers the privilege wealth, premier wealth, private wealth and Islamic wealth business areas, the reports said. Additionally, it was reported that Tan would be retaining her existing role as head of wealth management, Singapore.

Tan has more than 27 years of experience in the financial sector, including more than 16 years in private banking across all asset classes. She joined Maybank in 2014, reports said. 

Tan's banking career started at Overseas Union Bank in 1997 before she moved to UOB Asset Management. She has also worked for Allianz Dresdner Asset Management, Société Générale Asset Management, Coutts & Co, and Credit Suisse.
