Maples Fiduciary Opens Doors In London

The provider of global fund, structured finance and private client services has extended its footprint.

Maples Fiduciary, a division of Cayman Islands-based MaplesFS, has opened an office in London.

In March this year, the firm opened an office in Hong Kong. The London operation will target clients with a regional and global reach from the financial hub.

"Given the specialist nature of structured finance and investment fund services, establishing the London office further bolsters our efforts and makes us well positioned to continue meeting the complex and multi-jurisdictional needs of our clients,” said Peter Huber, MaplesFS' global head of fiduciary.

Maples Fiduciary in London will focus on providing corporate and fiduciary services to UK companies, limited liability partnerships and structured finance vehicles, as well as providing UK facilities agent services to Irish and Luxembourg UCITS and providing process agent services.

In addition, the firm will offer its range of corporate and fiduciary services to clients, including those who may already be working with the Maples group in other jurisdictions.

Leading the London-based team will be senior vice president Sam Ellis. He will be supported by a number of new hires at the firm, including Charles Leahy, who joins as vice president. He is a senior transaction manager with more than a decade of experience in UK securitisations and structured finance.

Michael Drew joins as vice president. He has experience of the administration of securitisations and structured finance transactions.

Tina Jehan joined the firm earlier this year as vice president with over two decades of corporate and fiduciary services experience. She focuses on the investment funds industry.

Maples Fiduciary also has offices in Cayman Islands, Delaware, Dubai, Hong Kong, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Singapore.
