Manulife Asia  Names New Chief Information Officer

The new CIO, promoted from within the business, is a proven technology leader who has a strong track record of execution, innovation and talent development.

Manulife, an international services provider, has promoted Andy Bruce to chief information officer of Manulife Asia effective 1 October. 

Since joining Manulife as chief information officer for Hong Kong and Macau, Bruce has successfully led one of the market’s largest technology delivery portfolios, the firm said in a statement. Under his leadership, the team has strengthened operational stability and risk management, advanced modernisation and AI initiatives, and built strong partnerships across the business and regional technology organisation. Bruce is widely respected for his strategic leadership, collaborative approach and ability to build high-performing teams while delivering meaningful business outcomes.

In recent appointments, Manulife Investment Management appointed Kenneth Ong as head of equities, Singapore. He leads the Singapore equities team and oversee the firm's Singapore equity portfolios.
