Manulife Adds Global Asset Manager To MPF Network

RCM Asia Pacific Limited, the asset management firm, will soon be joining Manulife's investment management network.

Under the agreement, RCM will be administering the insurer's Mandatory Provident Funds portfolio, which include the management of a number of mixed asset funds. These cover the Manulife MPF Aggressive Fund, Manulife MPF Growth Fund, Manulife MPF Stable Fund, including Manulife Global Select and Manu-Lifestyle.

"The advantage of our multi-manager funds is that we bring together a range of specialists who between them aim to consistently produce stable performance through combining different investment strategies," said Doris Chan, the head of sales and marketing for employee benefits at Manulife.

"This enable customers to select a single investment option that can be diversified across asset classes and investment styles."

RCM works with many global investors that have wealth protection needs and has over 20 years of experience in the Hong Kong retirement business. Manulife is one the largest MPF service providers in Hong Kong, with a 17.1 per cent market share as of 31 December 2009.
