Lyxor JV Launches First CTA Fund In China With Winton Capital Asia

Fortune SG Fund Management, the Hong Kong-based subsidiary of Lyxor Asset Management, has partnered with Winton Capital Asia to create the first commodity trading advisor fund in China.

The CTA fund aims to invest in future, forwards and options in the Chinese market and mostly targets high net worth individuals and institutions. The two firms have been collaborating as part of a research agreement that explores product development and investment opportunities in the fast-growing China futures industry.

Fortune SG Fund Management was established in 2003 and is 51 per cent-owned by Huabao Trust and 49 per cent-owned by Lyxor Asset Management. The joint venture was entered by Lyxor to enable it to tap the Asian market.

Winton Capital Asia is the regional business of the UK's Winton Capital Management.
