Lombard Odier, Mizuho Expand Pact Into Sustainability Alliance

With sustainability and ESG investments still popular – despite setbacks – the financial groups have signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in this area.

Lombard Odier and Mizuho Financial Group have agreed to cooperate on sustainability-related areas.

The pact between the Swiss and Japanese firms builds on a private banking strategic alliance that was entered in 2023.

Mizuho will gain access to Lombard Odier’s sustainability strategies with tailored solutions for clients. Mizuho will be able to fine-tune its sustainable investment offerings to fit international standards.

Geneva-headquartered Lombard Odier will act as strategic advisor and consulting partner to Mizuho. On the other side, Lombard Odier will use Mizuho’s network and knowledge to gather insights on sustainability within the Japanese market.
